What qualifications do I need to be a tutor?
This does vary depending on the specific information required during the tuition commission. However, as a minimum a foundation degree in the subject you would be tutoring in is required to be a tutor.

What documents do I need to register?
To ensure registration is fast and we are able to get you out to work quickly, please ensure you have a copy of your right to work, ID, x2 proof of address (dated in the last 3 months), Qualifications, Overseas police check (if applicable), name change confirmation (if applicable) and DBS (we can apply one for you should you not have one or be on the update service).

What other jobs in schools are available?
Aside from teaching and support roles there are a wide range of jobs in schools from administration, school business manager, school bursar, midday supervisors, exam invigilators, kitchen staff and exams officers.

What types of schools do you work with?
We work with a huge variety of schools from academies to free schools to LEA schools to faith schools. We work hard during the registration process to match our candidates with the right type of school.

What education jobs do you offer?
We offer a wide range of jobs you would find in schools and MAT Head offices from teaching staff and Teaching Assistants to Exam Officers to Office Administration.

How long does the process take from candidate contact through to hire?
This all depends on how quickly your references come back and if you have a current DBS on the update service. If for example your DBS is on the update service, we can get candidates cleared for work and deployed within 24 hrs.

Do you have permanent placements too?
Yes, at Magisters Education we do offer permanent placements in addition to the our temporary positions.
