Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant (UKS2 Class)
Location: Enfield, North London
Contract Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Start Date: ASAP

PAY: £90 - £110 per day

 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our vibrant and dynamic Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2) class at our mainstream primary school in Enfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for supporting students’ learning and development in a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students in UKS2 (Years 5 and 6), both in class and during intervention sessions
• Assist in the delivery of the curriculum by supporting students with their academic tasks, helping them to achieve their full potential
• Support students with literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects, using differentiated strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining high standards of conduct
• Provide pastoral care, helping students with social and emotional development
• Support students during breaks, lunch times, and extra-curricular activities, as required

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a UKS2 (Years 5 and 6) setting
• Knowledge of the UKS2 curriculum and the ability to support students in literacy, numeracy, and other subjects
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A passion for helping children succeed and ensuring that all students reach their full potential

Desirable:

• Training in or knowledge of specific intervention programs or strategies for supporting UKS2 students
• Familiarity with assessment strategies and tracking student progress
