Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new role? Are you looking to gain first hand teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant before progressing into a teacher training programme? Are you available to start in January? Perhaps you are coming to the end of your degree and would like to explore primary teaching, but would like a year out before teacher training?

This role is the perfect opportunity for you to gain a better understanding of the type of skills and attributes that must be obtained to be a successful teacher, as well as outstanding experience towards your PGCE.

Person Specification

• Primary School Teaching Assistant
• Previous experience with children, for example tutoring
• Strong academic background
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career in education/primary teaching
• Friendly, hard-working and reliable
• Easy going, fun and flexible

The Role

• Work in a fantastic, family orientated Primary School
• Ensuring progress is being made in the classroom and outside
• Assisting in creating lesson plans and classroom management strategies
• Plan and deliver your own 1:1 booster/intervention sessions
• Paid in term time only, daily rate of £75 - £95 per day
• Work 5 days per week for a full academic year
• Long-term position in one school, no daily supply!
