SEN Teaching Assistant

The Role:

This SEN Teaching Assistant role located in Dartford will consist of you working 1:1 with a student that has Autism. This student has a variety of individual needs so you will have to differ every session as a result of this.

Responsibilities:

  • Make sure the student knows their structure for everyday, and try to keep to this as much as possible.
  • Facilitate access to lessons reinforcing the teachers instructions in a visual format.
  • Encourage student to engage in conversation.
  • Help with any work or homework needed in school.
  • Work with professionals such as speech and language therapists

What there looking for:

  • Beneficial to have 1 year experience as a SEN teaching assistant however it is not essential.
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and efficiently.
  • Someone that's very attentive and quick on there feet.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
