Magisters Education are working with a Secondary School in Newham. They are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work in Newham starting ASAP

They are essentially looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant/ Learning Support Assistant who can hit the ground running and be an example to other staff members.

There are Special Needs responsibilities however they are looking for experience and someone confident in their role.

We are looking for someone who is available to start working immediately. For this role you will mainly be classroom based where you will be required to support across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

All the students you will be supporting will be working from the UK National Curriculum, but lessons will be adapted to meet their preferred learning style and ability.

Due to the students' needs some will be non-verbal and will get easily frustrated or overwhelmed in certain situations, which will then be displayed through their behaviour. There will also be an element of personal care which will include assisting the student to the toilet and helping them during lunchtime whilst eating. Therefore, the ideal SEN Learning Support Assistant for this role must have had previous experience and have a kind and caring nature.
