Magisters Education are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced candidate for a Teaching Assistant SEN role, ASD experience would be a bonus. This is a long-term role based in Greenwich area, working Monday to Friday full time.

The successful candidate will be working in supporting children with their specific learning and behavioural needs. Being able to deal with challenging behaviour and managing it in a controlled and effective way is also incredibly important. Therefore, strong and varied behaviour management techniques will be crucial within this role.

Teaching assistant SEN Role:

• SEN support.
• Supporting in interventions.
• Utilising behaviour management strategies within the classroom.
• Assisting staff with day-to-day responsibilities.
• Communicating with staff and parents.
• Must be a suitable role model and an approachable member of staff.
• Nurturing and caring personality.
• To develop an understanding of the educational need's student.
• To assist students to learn as effectively as possible in class, group and individual situations.
• To be very patient & adaptable
• To establish a professional and supportive relationship with students which facilitates their progress.
• To encourage the integration of students with educational needs into classes.

The Applicant:

- Experience working in a school

- Experience working with SEN

- Experience working in a SEMH environment (desirable but not essential)

- A caring and nurturing Attitude

- Positive Attitude
