Magisters Education have recently partnered with a primary school in Barking and Dagenham. They are looking to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work on a full time basis for a January start!

About the role

• The SEN Learning Support Assistant role will be full-time Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm.
• You will be working alongside other staff members and providing 1:1 support to students with SEN.
• Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals to create and lead intervention activities personalised to the child's needs.
• Support the child to navigate through school activities, as independently as possible.
• Reporting back to class teacher and parents of child's progress.

Job requirements

• Previous child-centred experience with the primary age range.
• Some experience with ASD and undiagnosed SEN-desirable.
• Good behaviour management skills
• Understand how to work with pupils and build positive relationships with various pupils quickly and efficiently
• Love of education and the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others
• Confident, proactive and enthusiastic person
