1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants

Job Details

We are currently supporting a number of well-regarded primary schools across West London who are seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for pupils in EYFS with speech, language, and communication needs.

These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s early learning journey within nurturing, inclusive, and well-resourced school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to pupils with identified SEN needs
• Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and work closely with class teachers and SENCOs
• Use communication tools such as PECS and Makaton to support language development
• Foster a calm, inclusive, and structured environment that promotes emotional regulation and engagement
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a joined-up approach to support

About You:

• Proven experience supporting children in EYFS settings, particularly those with SEN
• Confident using PECS, Makaton, or similar communication and behaviour support strategies
• Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to process one)
