Magisters Education are looking for a Teacher of Art needed for Maternity Leave cover in a Secondary school based in North Hackney, to inspire the next generation of Artists. We would like to hear from you if you can share your enthusiasm for the subject, your knowledge and your skills with our students and staff to help build an outstanding Art department.

The ideal candidate must be available to start on Monday 17^th April 2023.

Art Teacher Job Responsibilities:

• Teach high-quality and successful lessons to all age groups.
• Be a Personal Development (PD) Teacher.
• Monitor pupils from performance data.
• Address underachievement through contributing to Academy strategy as well as developing and implementing department strategies and approaches.
• Provide assessment to students and parents as required.
• Fulfil reporting requirements.
• Liaise with parents to ensure excellent attainment.
• Manage the behaviour of students in classrooms and around the school.
• Understand and fulfil all the requirements of the school's polices.
• To teach students according to their individual educational needs.
• Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe, respectful and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate/ Art Teacher will require:

* Previous experience teaching Art.
* Have Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A valid DBS which is also on the update service.
