SEMH Teaching Assistant

Are you interested in working with students with SEND? Do you have relevant experience or an interest in working with students with SEMH? A large, well-resourced Primary School in Southwark are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work alongside the teaching staff to provide both 1:1 and more general support to the students.

If you are someone who is committed to making a lasting change to children's lives, then this could be the role for you. We are searching for a kind, nurturing and resilient individual who can create strong relationships with students and staff alike, and will welcome pupils with a smile on their face.

The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible and resilient. You must be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children with special educational needs.

* You will be expected to think on your feet and be proactive, no day is the same, so being prepared is vital.
* Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils and staff alike, to support pupils in conjunction with a much wider support network.

Although it would be helpful, SEMH experience is not essential for this role.

All candidates must have a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting work. Full assistance is provided if candidates do not have a DBS.
