Are you on the search for a new SEMH Teaching Assistant role?

Magisters Education are looking for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Primary school based in Portsmouth, with an ASAP start.

You will be working in a school that is flexible with the school curriculum, and a team that proactively works with other schools, parents, and carers with an aim to get young people back on track.

SEMH Teaching Assistant | Job Summary

• As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you'll be working both on a 1:1 basis and classroom setting to provide support to students with a range of SEMH and SEN needs.
• The SEMH Teaching Assistant role involves adapting to support the varying individual needs of pupils, monitoring and encouraging their progress and development.
• You will be required to work with the class teacher to ensure pupil's learning and emotional needs are met.
• You will be helping to create a positive learning environment for the students.
• You will be working as part of a team of staff, liaising with the Room Leader and SENCO.

SEMH Teaching Assistant | Job Requirements

• Supporting pupil's emotional and educational needs.
• Experience of working with children and young people with SEMH is not essential but an advantage for this role.
• Love of education and the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
• Excellent behaviour management skills.
