Early Years Teaching Assistant

Magisters Education are currently recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join Primary schools in the Hackney area. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching professional to join a friendly team in a primary school. We require a strong teaching assistant who can work alongside teachers, and children, to support teaching and learning in the classroom.

Main Responsibilities as an Early Years Teaching Assistant
* Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
* Observing, tracking, and reflecting on learning
* Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all the times
* Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
* Working alongside teacher and supporting teacher on a daily progression of students, also offer additional support if needed.

About you

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant and/or Nursery Nurse
• Full or relevant Early Years qualification (not essential)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Strong/good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
• Working alongside the class Teacher
• Clear Enhanced DBS Check (Update Service)
• Be reliable, confident and committed

Additional information:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30am-3:30/4:30pm
• £70 - £90 per day
• Part Time
• Schools in Hackney
• Must be eligible to work in UK
